Blog is a fine medium and a special one for me since pretty much every programming language I learned, I learned by coding a blog.
At 2003 I was prepping a social network for my high school, the template cms/forum that I picked was written with vanilla ASP. So I started my first ever blog project that I wrote with ASP. Pretty basic stuff, couple of categories, posts in categories, single page system (literally 1 asp file that holds all the html/css and asp :) ) and a password protected admin page to add new entries. Of course password was hard coded in the file :)
Then PHP entered my life. Of course without a decent CS degree, learning how to code by trial and error and from the articles on the internet, there is one major downside to start learning with languages like JS/ASP/PHP, you basically learn how a shitty developer codes. Thankfully PHP is much much better, ASP is dead and JS is still JS. In order to learn and understand how shitty of your code is you have to start writing good code and that happened to me 4 years ago when I start writing Go code.
Anyways, I was playing around with blog systems for Poltio and Ghost's installition process just simply blew me away. As a blog software, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles but the things that it can do, it does it to a perfection. Writing on it feels amazing especially with an iPad Pro. So I decided I want to play with it more and decided to keep a blog again and here we are.
I will write mostly about my tech journey in the startup ecosystem. So stay tuned...
